Summer has come and gone, so has fall and the first semester of school this year. Yet, during that time so many things have come about and have impacted my life for the better.

First of all, I am graduating this year. Not next year, THIS YEAR! It's so mind blowing to me to even think that I am in my final semester here at Bluffton. It makes me both excited and nervous to think about. It is all coming up so quick.

Second of all, my final season of running cross country was the best season I have had competing here at Bluffton. The new coaches are wonderful and push you to your limits but you get so much out of what they make you do. I have never seen my times drop so much within one season as I did this year. I am sad that I won't be here next year to have another year with them.

Third of all, with this whole graduating thing coming up quickly, I am in the midst of doing my internship at the Putnam County YMCA working with the Youth Sports Director. I am enjoying it so much. I am learning so much and really enjoy seeing the looks on little kids faces when they are having fun playing sports. It just brings so much joy to my heart and makes me feel like I am that age again.

Finally, the people in my life right now keep making my life the best that it is :) I have a supporting and loving family, fantastic friends, and an amazing boyfriend. I am loving life right now!
Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-16781620987817978652011-04-25T20:28:00.000-07:002011-04-25T20:28:44.619-07:00So this past weekend was a nice long weekend because of Easter. We had Friday and today off, which was very nice. I still had to be at school Friday though because we had a track meet in Wilmington that night. Well that meet didn't happen. We left here at 2:30 with running events starting at 6pm. Of course, there has been all this rain and storms that have been coming through, and starting at 6 the rain came and then the storms came soon after. They kept delaying the meet because of lighting. By the time 9pm rolled around, they were going to get things going again, but another lighting struck, and they finally cancelled the meet. Thank goodness my parents were there to drive me home for the weekend instead of going all the way back here and then going home. I got home around 11pm that night, which would've been the time I would've probably ran if the meet had kept going.

Easter was nice. I went to my cousins house for the day, which was nice to be able to catch up with them along with my aunts and uncle, and my grandpa. We had a great meal and just had a fun time hanging out with other.

Three more days of classes, that's all. It's hard to believe that the school year is almost done. I am ready for summer though, and hopefully the weather will be much better in the next coming weeks.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-71624639149404784642011-04-19T17:54:00.000-07:002011-04-19T17:54:19.873-07:00One paper down. Now I just have to write another paper for my Humanities 1 class, do two more homework assignments for accounting, and then just take exams to finish this year out! I also just have two more track meets to compete in and then the track season is over too. We have a meet Friday night at Wilmington College and then our conference meet is at Hanover next weekend.

I am looking forward to having a long weekend this weekend and spending time with my family for Easter. I am probably going to take some stuff home to start moving things out so that way I don't have so much to pack up the day I move out. It really is crazy to think that this school year is almost done with. 5 more days of classes!Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-7193186916338754002011-04-17T17:09:00.000-07:002011-04-17T17:09:06.689-07:00There are officially only seven more days of classes left. Just seven. Then there is four days of exams after that to get through. Only three more weeks left here on campus. It's crazy how this year has flown by. I still have a hard time believing that April is almost over.

These last couple weeks of classes are going to be busy ones. I have two papers to write, one being 10-12 pages and the other one being 6-8 pages. Needless to say I am going to be a busy girl for the rest of the semester. It seems like everyone I know has a bunch of stuff to do before the school year ends. As much as I love Bluffton and being here on campus with everyone, I am ready for the year to be done with and go home. This semester has been the most busy for me ever since I stepped foot on this campus. Summer break is going to be so nice.

The other day during lunch there was booths set up for cross culture experience opportunities for next year. There was booths for Israel/Palestine, Guatemala, Columbia, Iceland, Northern Ireland, Chicago, Kentucky, and New York. I definitely want to go to Iceland next May. Hopefully that will happen, but I am not going to worry about it quite yet because well I still have to finish up this year before I start thinking of next year.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-33563906405650947912011-04-05T20:20:00.000-07:002011-04-05T20:22:02.389-07:00So the past couple of weeks have been stressful ones. What can you do to get away from it for awhile? Get off of campus and spend a weekend at home and take some of your college friends with you, which is exactly I did this past weekend.

My friends Alison, Laurie, and I went to my house Friday night after Alison and I got back from our track meet. The rest of that night we just talked and relaxed. Saturday, we went shopping, went out for lunch, and got some cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory. I love that place! My mom made baked ziti for dinner for all of us that night. Then I decided to go out and buy Tangled, which we ended up watching that night. Alison bought a 4lb bag of Jolly Ranchers so we had some of those while watching the movie. Sunday we just relaxed and did some homework, had tacos for lunch, and then came back to Bluffton. It was a much needed girls weekend and it was nice to be able to hangout with them a whole weekend instead of just a couple of hours.

Tomorrow is Civic Engagement day here on campus. There are no classes, but students & staff are encouraged to attend events that are held throughout the day that go along with the them "Living With Enough: Responding to Global Poverty" I have to give a poster presentation for my Issues of Modern America class over my research about Obesity in America. It should be a informational and good day.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-77473370922063695932011-03-30T17:49:00.000-07:002011-03-30T17:49:03.726-07:00It's almost April and yet there was snow falling from the sky earlier today. I had the joy of getting to run in it during track practice. It wasn't a very fun practice to say the least.

The end of the school year is coming up quickly and I am as busy as ever. Civic engagement day is next Wednesday, and I have to get a poster ready to present for it for my Issues of Modern America class. I've been working on getting things ready for it slowly, but have been very productive tonight on finding some graphs to put on it, and reading books to have background information on it.

Even though I have been busy and stressed out this week, I have still managed to have some fun here on campus. One of my best friends and her boyfriend had their one year anniversary of dating yesterday. Her boyfriend had her get notes from her closest friends here on campus throughout the day, which just made her more anxious on what she was going to get at the end of the day. It was fun seeing her all excited and annoyed throughout the day as she just had to keep waiting for her surprise. Finally, at like 11:30 last night she got her gift from him, which was a diamond necklace. She couldn't stop smiling, and it was just awesome that I got to be part of that moment.

Hopefully the weather around here starts to get warmer because I want it to feel like spring and not for it just to be spring! Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-78626095814878729892011-03-19T22:18:00.000-07:002011-03-19T22:18:55.613-07:00First outdoor track meet of the season was today and it went pretty well. The girls track team got 3rd out of 6 teams at the meet held at Defiance. I ran the 5000 meter and finished 30 seconds faster than what I did last year at this point, so I am pretty happy with how it went.

I've been busy every since getting back on campus after spring break. I have had a lot of homework to do for my classes, and I know I will be busy the rest of the semester with stuff. I have a research paper coming up that's due in April, and I have a presentation to put together for civic engagement day the first week of April for my Issues of Modern America class. I also have a paper due for my Humanities class coming up this Tuesday that I need to finish up. Needless to say, I have been a very busy college student and will continue to be.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-12098265634583773672011-03-09T21:41:00.000-08:002011-03-09T21:45:11.666-08:00Spring Break '11 has been a good one so far. Last week was another stressful week of school, so now that spring break is finally here and been going on now for a little bit, I have been able to relax some.

My boyfriend came home with me Friday and spent the weekend with me. We went to Target on Saturday, which is my favorite store, and I got the 7th season of "One Tree Hill" which is one of my favorite shows. Needless to say it was a win-win for me :) haha Then Sunday, we went to Columbus to watch the OSU vs. Wisconsin men's basketball game. Best basketball game I have been to probably in my life. The crowd was full of energy and loud the entire game. OSU won in impressive fashion and won the Big Ten Regular Season Championship. And before the game, Michael and I met up with my friend Matt from high school and ate lunch with him at Sloopy's in the Ohio State Student Union Center. It was great catching up with him and seeing him again.

Monday, Tuesday, and today I was at Michael's house had a great time with him, his family, and some of his friends that I met while bowling Monday night. As I said, break has been great so far, but I do kind of miss my Bluffton friends.

I do need to work on some papers and a presentation, so hopefully I will start getting on that tomorrow.

Today also was a sad day for the Bluffton University community, as one of the members of the senior class, Jacob Graham, was killed in a car accident. I know Jacob brought a lot of smiles to many people on campus. It's going to be hard not seeing him around campus anymore. Prayers go out to his family.
I can't believe that it is that time of year already. This semester has been going by so quickly.

Things are starting to pile up when it comes to school work. I have four tests coming up this week, a couple of papers to start writing, and a couple of presentations to start putting together that are due after spring break. Needless to say, I am going to be one busy girl this week. It helps that there is no track meet this weekend, so I am hoping to get some things accomplished today before hanging out with some friends tonight.

We got snow again and I have to say, I am tired of it. I am so ready for spring weather, so hopefully it will be here soon.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-56313959635451854572011-02-20T15:12:00.000-08:002011-02-20T15:12:16.536-08:00One of the reasons I love being part of a varsity sports team is that we get to travel to other campuses and see what they are like. Yesterday, the track team went to Anderson University to compete in the inaugural HCAC indoor track championships. Needless to say, Anderson has a very nice recreation facility and a nice campus. Yesterday was another nice day, even though it was a bit cooler than it has been, but it was nice to go run outside for warm-up. I didn't run until 6:35 pm and we left Bluffton at 9 am. We didn't get back to campus until 1 am. It was a long day.

Today has just been a lazy day along with getting a little bit of homework done. To bad the weekend is almost over. Just means two more weeks of school before spring break though, which I can't wait for!Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-9872198011225532652011-02-16T20:16:00.000-08:002011-02-16T20:16:36.368-08:00It seems like this past week I have just been on the go. My tests last week all went well, which I am thankful for because it was just one hectic week. Glad that it is over with. It is hard to believe that it is already Wednesday this week. This weeks is flying by, just like this semester seems to be flying by. There is only 3 more weeks until spring break, which I can't wait for! It should be a good one.

Tonight I went to the boys basketball game against Defiance. It was a great game to watch. Sadly though the Beavers came up short in overtime, losing to Defiance 66-62.

We have our last indoor track meet coming up on Saturday over in Anderson, Indiana. It's our conference meet so it's a big meet. I am running the 5000 meters. I am excited for it though, even if it means running around the track for 25 laps.

It seems like everyone on campus has been getting sick. I know I am getting over a cold and my roomate was sick last week. Our track team was pretty much all sick at the same time. Hopefully everyone will be feeling good for this weekend.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-35439669586956022612011-02-07T19:18:00.000-08:002011-02-07T19:18:41.507-08:00It's the beginning of another crazy week as I have four tests this week (well I only have three more now as I took my accounting test this morning).

Least this past weekend was a fun one. In fact, it was probably the most fun I have had since I have been back on campus for this semester. Friday night, a bunch of friends and I made food and had dinner together. Saturday started with a track meet, but ended with watching some movies with some close friends & the boyfriend. It was a nice way to end the day after a fast mile race at the track meet. Yesterday, Alison and I made taco salad for everyone one to eat for the Super Bowl! I also made cookie cake for everyone to enjoy as well. That was gone in no hurry. In fact, all the food was pretty much gone by the end of the night. I was happy the Packers won the game and it was just another night of relaxing and hanging out with friends.

This week is going to be a busy one as I am pretty much studying every night for a test that I have the next day. Tomorrow night though, is the battle of air-bands, which is always a campus wide favorite event. Hopefully it will be great entertainment like it has been in the past.

Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-32745835182668298162011-01-30T18:24:00.000-08:002011-01-30T18:24:29.114-08:00Another week of classes has gone by and another track meet has been completed. January is almost over and before I know it, the first week of March will be here, which means spring break will be here.

This week was another busy week. I had lots of reading to do for my classes.

Tuesday night I ate dinner at Esther and Wendall's house here in Bluffton. They have Bluffton students over for dinner so that way we can enjoy a home cooked meal and get away from eating at Marbeck for a meal. They are such a nice couple and the meal Esther made was absolutely delicious. She made a taco soup, chicken alfredo lasagna, wild rice, peas, and heated coleslaw. And to end the meal, she made cream puff pie. Everything was so good!

Friday night, my friends and I tried to go bowling at the Bluffton bowling alley here in town, but it was full when we got there. We ended up coming back to campus and watching the Hangover and just relaxing for the night.

Yesterday, we were back at Findlay for another indoor track meet. I ran the 3000 meter race again, and it didn't go as well as it did last time. Oh well, it happens. Least I got some speed work in and will just continue to work hard and get ready for the conference meet.

We're supposed to get hit by a big winter storm early this week. There's supposed to be snow and ice. We will see what happens.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-88997707440023943722011-01-25T05:52:00.000-08:002011-01-25T05:52:20.918-08:00This past Friday we had our second indoor track meet of the year. It was the first meet that I competed in though. I ran the 3000 meter along with my friend and teammate, Alison, and we both did well. We hit faster times than what we did last year by a couple of seconds. We are both excited about the rest of the season. It should be a good one.

Saturday night, my friends Kevin, Alison, Laurie, Dereck, Brandon, Amy, along with my boyfriend Michael all went to Chipotle up in Findlay. When we got there, there was a quite a few other people from Bluffton as well. It seemed like everyone wanted Chipotle that night. Afterwards, Amy, Brandon, Michael, and I went back and watched Despicable me. I love that movie and have seen it so many times that I am starting to quote along with it while watching it. (Michael just laughed everytime I said something along with the movie) It was just a nice and relaxing Saturday, which I needed after having so much homework to do during the week.

Another week of classes is under way and I already have so much homework to do, again. Looks like another busy week.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-5729104377255206192011-01-19T16:38:00.000-08:002011-01-19T16:38:13.302-08:00I am tired of winter weather. It's no fun to walk or run in. Walking to work and class today was horrible. The water that was on the ground yesterday froze overnight, which made the sidewalks very slick. Needless to say, I left a little early to get to classes on time, just in case. I saw two people fall today. Luckily, both were okay, but that just tells you how slick the sidewalks were.

This week has been a good one. Only two more days of classes until it is the weekend again! I love weekends. We have an indoor track meet Friday night up at Findlay University. I am running the 3000 meter race, which means I won't be racing until like 8:15 pm since it is one of the final events of the meet. That's okay though. Just means I get to cheer on my teammates and lay around until I have to go warm up to race. It'll be interesting to see how the race goes since it is my first race since cross country season ended. I'm excited though. I love competing.

Well, I got to go read some more for my Humanities class that is tomorrow.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-16088208008305308512011-01-16T22:16:00.000-08:002011-01-16T22:16:42.079-08:00First week of classes are the spring semester are done. Now just to survive the rest of the semester. I am going to be so busy having so much reading to do for my classes!!

I am so happy that it is a three day weekend. I have spent the past two days just hanging out on campus with Michael. It's just been so nice to relax with him and not really worry about classes. Pretty much all my friends went home for the long weekend, and it seems that most of campus did, so it has been quiet around here. I have been reading throughout the weekend for my classes though and have been able to get them done, which I am very happy about. I just have to study for a quiz that I have Tuesday sometime tomorrow.

My mom and aunt are coming up tomorrow and we are all going out for lunch. I am pretty excited! :)Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-29219314220439591632011-01-11T05:39:00.000-08:002011-01-11T05:39:49.756-08:00Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Winter break has come and gone, and now the spring semester is in full swing. Classes started yesterday and from what I can tell, I am going to be a busy person this semester, and so are my friends. Yesterday went really well though. I only had Principles of Accounting 2 and Microeconomics, along with work and track practice yesterday. Tuesday and Thursdays are my busy days, as I have classes at 8 am, 9:30 am, and 1:00 pm. All of those classes are an hour and fifteen minutes long. Even though I know it's going to be a busy semester between classes, homework, work, and track practice, I will still manage to have time to hangout with my friends. If I didn't, I think I would probably go insane!

I enjoyed my winter break, but I am happy to be back on campus and be with everyone again. From the sounds of it, my friends also had a good break. We were all ready to be back on campus, but not necessarily ready to begin classes. Now that classes have begun though, it's back to the same old routine like last semester. This semester should be a good one.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-49190212556487002092010-12-24T16:53:00.000-08:002010-12-24T16:53:45.272-08:00Christmas EveI can't believe that I have been home for break already for a week. It is going by so fast! Just wanted to post a short entry to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Let us not forget the true meaning of Christmas:
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord."
This week has been dragging along it feels like. I keep getting my days mixed up and I woke up today thinking that it was Friday, but it is only Thursday. That's okay though. I am enjoying the extra time I have between work, exams, and studying to hangout with my friends & boyfriend before not seeing them for like 3 weeks!

This fall semester has been a great one. I have made many new friends and have many new memories to cherish for the rest of my life. I am ready for a break though. I am excited to see everyone back at home and catch up with my friends from high school.

I feel like all I have been doing is studying, studying, and more studying. I have only taken two exams! I am currently taking a break from studying for my macro exam that is this afternoon, and I am also currently doing laundry because that needs to get done sometime this week before I go home Friday. I am looking forward to getting my macro exam done so that way I can relax a little bit before studying for my Fit For Life exam that I have tomorrow morning.

My days during exam week go like this:

Get up, shower, walk to Centennial Hall, take my exam, come back to my room, study, eat, study (or take an exam), relax, and then study some more! I try to find sometime to hangout with my friends because I know this week is the last I am going to be seeing them for three weeks!

I did get a break from studying last night and went to Skyline Chili in Lima with some friends. I enjoyed having that food. I am also looking forward to having a good lunch as the admissions office is holding a potluck for the admissions interns!! I am super excited to eat some delicious food!

Now, time to go back to studying...

It is such a relief to have them finally be done with, especially since the weeks since Thanksgiving break have just building up to it. This semester flew by though and I still can't believe how fast it went by.

This semester has brought many new friendships and even a boyfriend. I am so thankful for each person in my life. They helped me get through the semester without going totally crazy. I seriously have the best friends and boyfriend in the world. They make the college life so much better!

Now, just to get ready for finals, which means studying lots and lots this weekend & coming week. I have exams on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, since all five of my classes are having one. Thank goodness there is no track practice this week, so I will be able to focus on studying for exams. It's a good thing our coach understands that we are here at college to get an education, not for the sports. I was glad that I didn't have to go to our first indoor track meet today at Capital because that would take away from some important study time. I have been studying since I got up and am taking a break before I go back to studying.

I'm looking forward to tonight though, I am planning to do some Christmas cookie baking & watching Christmas movies with some of my awesome friends. Definitely going to be a girls night, which I am really looking forward to! :)Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-60534151672393703762010-12-08T12:46:00.000-08:002010-12-08T12:46:30.990-08:00This week is going by faster than what I expected it would go. It does help that I had a good weekend with my friends and boyfriend. We went up to the Toledo Zoo Saturday night and saw the Christmas lights! It definitely got me in the Christmas spirit even more than what I already was. Being able to see them with my boyfriend and friends made it even better. Sunday night, we had our end of the year cross country banquet at Olive Garden! I can't complain about that because Olive Garden is one of my favorite restaurants. It was a fun time with the team, as usual. I just have to remember to get my jacket order taken care of before Friday...

I officially only have two more classes for this semester and then I just have to worry about my exams next week! This semester flew by! It's been a stressful week as I have had papers to finish up and turn in and I have also started studying for exams on Monday that I have. The library this week has been very helpful in having coffee, tea, and cookies to snack on during certain times in the day, so I have been working on assignments there, which I have been able to focus so much better on my homework!

It was nice last night because our floor had a CBA event, which is a community building activity. Our floor activity was decorating Christmas cookies and then getting to eat them once they were decorated! Such a nice way to take a break from homework and studying.

Indoor track practices are going well even though it's been freezing outside when we run. Oh well, we have to do what we have to do to have an awesome season! Everybody is working really hard, so it should be another good year!Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-58975775138933963242010-12-02T21:00:00.000-08:002010-12-02T21:00:36.977-08:00It's officially December and there is only one more full week of classes before final exams! I can't believe how fast this semester has flown by. Even though it has flown by, there has been so many memories made.

It snowed yesterday which made the campus look so pretty! It was awesome that it snowed on the first day of December to. Now hopefully there will be snow on Christmas. I always love a white Christmas! :) My friend Lyndsey gave me my Christmas present today, and she got me a fish!! I'm way stoked about this. It makes my room so much better! haha Now, I just hope I don't let it die, that would make me really sad. Oh the little things that make life so much better. It made my day so much better especially since I have been finishing up papers for classes all this week. The last weeks of the semester are always stressful, but with the friends that I have, things don't get to stressful.Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-53170544948525526862010-11-28T08:12:00.000-08:002010-11-28T08:12:58.195-08:00Wow, this break has gone by fast! I have enjoyed being home so much and being able to see my friends from high school, but I am also ready to go back to Bluffton and finish the semester! Hard to believe there is only two more weeks of classes and then one week of final exams. I am excited to get back on campus. I have missed my friends. This break is only five days but that's long enough for me to miss my Bluffton family. I don't even want to think how much I will be missing everyone when the three winter break gets going.

I was crazy enough to go shopping on black Friday. My mom, sister, and I went to Walmart at midnight to get some good deals on movies and other things, and we also went to Kohl's afterwards, which had a line from the front of the building all the way down to Walmart (So like 1/2 mile long line of people). It was a fun time. I saw some of my friends from high school at both places, and even one of them seem to be following me as she also went to Walmart first, Speedway to get coffee, and then Kohl's. I laughed everytime I saw her. I ended up going to bed pretty late Thursday night.

Columbus Friday and Saturday was awesome. I am a HUGE OSU fan and being able to go see the men's basketball team play Friday night and see the football team crush Michigan again was just awesome! OSU's campus was crazy before and after the game. Beating rival Michigan is always important, just like Bluffton beating our rival Defiance is always a good thing. I just don't think the celebration of Bluffton beating Defiance is as big or as crazy as the celebration of OSU beating Michigan is. It was a good weekend in Columbus. I am ready to go back to Bluffton though and finish the semester up!Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523450422624040517.post-65177790178129867032010-11-25T16:02:00.000-08:002010-11-25T16:02:06.231-08:00Thanksgiving Break has been wonderful. I love being able to go home for more than just a weekend. I've been able to catch up with some of my friends from high school and also still keep in touch with my friends from Bluffton. Even though it is break, I do still have to do some homework for classes next week. I don't have much, but I still need to remember to get it done before break is over. I also have started running again to get ready for our first indoor track meet on December 11. Getting back into top shape is a pain in the butt, but it is well worth it in the end.

Since it is Thanksgiving, I just want to say how thankful I am for the friends and family that have surrounded me for 20 years. I love each and everyone of you. Don't forget to take time to tell those people that are special in your life. They help make you the person you are today.

Tomorrow and Saturday I am going to be in Columbus! I am quite excited. My family and I are going to watch the men's basketball team play Miami (OH) tomorrow and then Saturday is the OSU vs. Michigan game! I love being on campus for the Michigan game. OSU's campus has even more energy than it does on other game days. My sister and dad will be going to the game, while my mom and I are going to watch it on the big screen somewhere on campus. I get to experience another college campus' activities on the weekend. I always love going to OSU when I can. I still love Bluffton though, but it is nice to get off campus and go to another campus.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!Katy Heffnerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03674078699188188775noreply@blogger.com0
