Alright so I know that it has been quite a while since I last posted something on this blog.  Summer has come and gone, so has fall and the first semester of school this year.  Yet, during that time so many things have come about and have impacted my life for the better.

First of all, I am graduating this year.  Not next year, THIS YEAR!  It's so  mind blowing to me to even think that I am in my final semester here at Bluffton.  It makes me both excited and nervous to think about.  It is all coming up so quick.

Second of all, my final season of running cross country was the best season I have had competing here at Bluffton.  The new coaches are wonderful and push you to your limits but you get so much out of what they make you do.  I have never seen my times drop so much within one season as I did this year.  I am sad that I won't be here next year to have another year with them.

Third of all, with this whole graduating thing coming up quickly, I am in the midst of doing my internship at the Putnam County YMCA working with the Youth Sports Director.  I am enjoying it so much.  I am learning so much and really enjoy seeing the looks on little kids faces when they are having fun playing sports.  It just brings so much joy to my heart and makes me feel like I am that age again.

Finally, the people in my life right now keep making my life the best that it is :)  I have a supporting and loving family, fantastic friends, and an amazing boyfriend.  I am loving life right now!

So this past weekend was a nice long weekend because of Easter.  We had Friday and today off, which was very nice.  I still had to be at school Friday though because we had a track meet in Wilmington that night.  Well that meet didn't happen.  We left here at 2:30 with running events starting at 6pm.  Of course, there has been all this rain and storms that have been coming through, and starting at 6 the rain came and then the storms came soon after.  They kept delaying the meet because of lighting.  By the time 9pm rolled around, they were going to get things going again, but another lighting struck, and they finally cancelled the meet.  Thank goodness my parents were there to drive me home for the weekend instead of going all the way back here and then going home.  I got home around 11pm that night, which would've been the time I would've probably ran if the meet had kept going.

Easter was nice.  I went to my cousins house for the day, which was nice to be able to catch up with them along with my aunts and uncle, and my grandpa.  We had a great meal and just had a fun time hanging out with other.

Three more days of classes, that's all.  It's hard to believe that the school year is almost done.  I am ready for summer though, and hopefully the weather will be much better in the next coming weeks.

One paper down.  Now I just have to write another paper for my Humanities 1 class, do two more homework assignments for accounting, and then just take exams to finish this year out!  I also just have two more track meets to compete in and then the track season is over too.  We have a meet Friday night at Wilmington College and then our conference meet is at Hanover next weekend.

I am looking forward to having a long weekend this weekend and spending time with my family for Easter.  I am probably going to take some stuff home to start moving things out so that way I don't have so much to pack up the day I move out.  It really is crazy to think that this school year is almost done with.  5 more days of classes!

There are officially only seven more days of classes left.  Just seven.  Then there is four days of exams after that to get through.  Only three more weeks left here on campus.  It's crazy how this year has flown by.  I still have a hard time believing that April is almost over.

These last couple weeks of classes are going to be busy ones.  I have two papers to write, one being 10-12 pages and the other one being 6-8 pages.  Needless to say I am going to be a busy girl for the rest of the semester.  It seems like everyone I know has a bunch of stuff to do before the school year ends.  As much as I love Bluffton and being here on campus with everyone, I am ready for the year to be done with and go home.  This semester has been the most busy for me ever since I stepped foot on this campus.  Summer break is going to be so nice.

The other day during lunch there was booths set up for cross culture experience opportunities for next year.  There was booths for Israel/Palestine, Guatemala, Columbia, Iceland, Northern Ireland, Chicago, Kentucky, and New York.  I definitely want to go to Iceland next May.  Hopefully that will happen, but I am not going to worry about it quite yet because well I still have to finish up this year before I start thinking of next year.

So the past couple of weeks have been stressful ones.  What can you do to get away from it for awhile?  Get off of campus and spend a weekend at home and take some of your college friends with you, which is exactly I did this past weekend.

My friends Alison, Laurie, and I went to my house Friday night after Alison and I got back from our track meet. The rest of that night we just talked and relaxed.  Saturday, we went shopping, went out for lunch, and got some cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory.  I love that place!  My mom made baked ziti for dinner for all of us that night.  Then I decided to go out and buy Tangled, which we ended up watching that night.  Alison bought a 4lb bag of Jolly Ranchers so we had some of those while watching the movie.  Sunday we just relaxed and did some homework, had tacos for lunch, and then came back to Bluffton.  It was a much needed girls weekend and it was nice to be able to hangout with them a whole weekend instead of just a couple of hours.

Tomorrow is Civic Engagement day here on campus.  There are no classes, but students & staff are encouraged to attend events that are held throughout the day that go along with the them "Living With Enough: Responding to Global Poverty" I have to give a poster presentation for my Issues of Modern America class over my research about Obesity in America.  It should be a informational and good day.
